DVLA reminds motorists of new motor insurance law

The DVLA in conjunction with the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) and the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) are reminding drivers that a new law to be rolled out in late Spring will mean that they must keep their vehicle insured unless they have notified the DVLA that is it is being kept off the road. Bike Vs Car, What’s the cost ?

Getting on a moped or bike costs half as much as driving a car, and here’s the figures to prove it.

A recent research survey below shows that a 17-year-old driving a car will have spent around £2640 to get on the road, while a 16-year-old riding a moped will have spent just £1288, a saving of over 52%. (more…)
